Fog and the Mountain

The fog crawls up the mountain
Digging its tendrils deep between the trees
Hugging their leaves and licking their branches

As the fog reaches the mountain’s pinnacle
Wind rips it away from its lover
Never to meet again

The fog dissipates in feathers and wisps
Into tears of contentment
Satisfied by its one great union
